World Refugee Day, celebrated annually on June 20th, was established by the United Nations to honor the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homes under threat of persecution and violence.
College of Southern Idaho Refugee Programs will host Magic Valley Refugee Day Celebration on Friday, June 24th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Twin Falls City Park. This annual event highlights the diversity of refugees in Twin Falls and allows the refugee community the opportunity to say "thank you" for the generosity and welcoming spirit of the Magic Valley. Everyone is invited!
This event is FREE and includes free food, live performances and speakers. Bring your appetite and something to sit on. Families are welcome. For more info contact Tara at 208-736-2166.
