While Mani Rimdu Festival celebrates exodus to Tengboche Monastery, we celebrate in Chiwong Monastery from 31st October to 03rd of November 2020. It is a Himalayan festival, celebrate by Tibetan Sherpas of Nepal in the Chiwong Monastery of lower Solukhumbu, Thame and Tengboche Monastery in upper Solukhumbu region. The Festival is going on for nineteen days with sacred ceremonies and empowerments, out of which 3-day public festival when locals eats, sings an dance. Mani Rimdu festival date is fixed according to Tibetan Lunar calendar and for the year 2019 was celebrated on 12th -15th November. Buddhist Rinpoches, high lamas and khempos have decided date of Mani Rimdu festival for 31st October -03rd of November 2020.
