The 30th annual Marietta StreetFest brings family fun, live music, arts & crafts and classic cars back to the historic Marietta Square, Saturday, Sept. 18 - Sunday, Sept. 19 and is presented by the Marietta Museum of History. The festival includes more than 70 arts & crafts booths plus jams, jellies, soaps and organic goods in the Artist Alley, the Hubcaps and History Classic Car Show (Saturday only), the Kids Korner that includes inflatable, free craft stations and a place for little ones to play in the Tiny Tot Town. A small fee applies to some activities. Saturday morning there will be live performances for children and at 3:00 p.m. the Marietta Grassroots Music Festival kicks off featuring singer and songwriters. Times vary for the events so check the website for the full schedule. There is free admission to the Festival and also to the Marietta Museum of History during the festival weekend. The hours are Saturday 9:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Hub Caps & History Class Car Show features over 70 original, restored and "in process" classic cars will fill the south side of the Square on Saturday (only) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show will include vintage vehicles, classic cars, hot rods and more. Voting is all day with the award presentation held at 2:45.
The Marietta Grassroots Music Festival has again partnered with the Marietta StreetFest to bring original songs to the Marietta Square, Saturday, Sept. 18, 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Sunday, Sept. 19, 11:00 – 5:00 p.m. Festival goers can grab their blankets and lawn chairs and support local musicians. Guests are also encouraged to bring a picnic dinner or order a take out from many restaurants that surround the Marietta Square. This music festival was created with the purpose of showcasing the best talent from the city and surrounding communities to build upon and strengthen the foundation of community pride present today and encourage a pay-it-forward attitude. Admission is free.
