The Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival is back this summer celebrating its 20th year. This beloved community event is a vibrant celebration of literature. We will again be in Chilmark on the grounds of the Chilmark Community Center on August 1-3. The festival’s 2025 theme speaks to the moment: “The Power of Perspective.” This year’s festival includes an outstanding lineup of authors to explore the ideas and stories that help illuminate a rapidly changing world. The 2025 festival features novelists, journalists, historians, scientists, sociologists, food writers, experts, and intellectuals whose work addresses the complexities of modern life. The weekend promises conversations that will help us see the world a little more clearly. Saturday, Aug 2, features panel discussions throughout the day on topics such as politics and the press; technology power and soft power; climate change, sea level rise, and forest fires; culinary and cultural legacy; reproductive rights; race, family and identity; and activism and responsibility.
