Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra with German Youth Plectrum Orchestra, Concert, April 22, 2025

On Tues April 22, 2025 at 7 pm the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra (MMO) presents a joint concert at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery with the JZObw. With the what?? The Youth Plucking Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg (JZObw) is a select orchestra from Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It consists of up to 30 young musicians (ages of 15 to 27) who are prizewinners of the "Jugend musiziert" competition or have attracted attention during qualification courses. The MMO met the JZO at the Venice Mandolin Festival in 2022 and are delighted to welcome them to Milwaukee for a series of interactions with local schools, as well as two joint concerts with the MMO. If you can't make it on April 22, the second concert is on Thursday April 24 at 7 pm at Fox Point Lutheran Church. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door for the April 22 concert, and $5 in advance and $10 at the door for the April 24 event. The Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra, which consists of mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, guitars, and bass has been performing diverse mandolin music since 1900.
