Celebrating a summertime tradition in Monticello since 1949. Originally founded to recognize local watermelon growers in Jefferson County, our mission is to continue to engage our local community, businesses and visitors through this time-honored tradition. Of course, we couldn't pull it off without the support of our amazing sponsors, advertisers, and volunteers. From pageants to parades, bed races and barbeque, this event offers small town fun for the entire family. For those who would rather not exert themselves in the summer heat, we're offering delicious food, a beer garden, street dancing, and of course sweet slices of watermelon. Plan to come on down and sit a spell as we celebrate our time-honored traditon that says summertime in Monticello. Hope to see you soon!
