Join the Seattle Choral Company, orchestra, and soloists at Saint Mark's Cathedral for Mozart's final work -- his Requiem in D minor. Mozart’s Requiem stands as one of choral music’s undisputed masterpieces, a powerful work left incomplete at the time of his death. The genius and intensity of Mozart’s writing captivate audiences throughout this moving piece. Complementing Mozart’s final work will be a world premiere by Emmy award winning composer, Jasmine Barnes. Her composition, Epoch of Hughes, draws inspiration from the evocative writings of Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes. offering a compelling complement to Mozart’s timeless masterpiece. Jasmine Barnes will be in attendance.
