Mush Music and Mutts Festival 2021

Featured frequently in the media, the festival has been highlighted on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. It also was recognized last year by "Bring Fido" as a Top 10 Most Pet Friendly Festival. Guests come from far and wide to enjoy! We expect to welcome approximately 12,000+ attendees in 2020. The Mush, Music & Mutts Festival began 30 years ago to celebrate a southern staple, Liver Mush. YUCK, right? Except, it's surprisingly tasty, especially when thin sliced and fried but there are many ways to enjoy this beloved local food! People love it so MUSH that we have an entire festival to celebrate it! Activities include Liver Mush Recipe contest, Liver Mush eating contest, live music, inflatables, activities for kids and kids at heart, Little Miss Liver Mush Pageant and an entire section dedicated to pets! RollOver Pets presents a variety of activities for your fur family including a pet costume contest and parade, games such as musical sit, entertainment and more! Parking is available in several free public parking areas that will be designated on the map and throughout the event area. This free event is located in the beautiful Uptown Shelby district around the courtsquare. In addition to the many festival activities and vendors, there are many other dining, shopping and attractions options to enjoy. Come for the day or make it a weekend!
