Talks on music featuring Venerable Jue Ji on “Sounds of the World: Music, No Boundaries,” Francesco Mastromatteo on “My Music, My Life” and Andrés Hernández Labra on “My Music from Mexico to America.” Plus Buddhist chanting and Dharma instruments demonstration. Part of the “The East in the West: Sounds, Minds and Dharma” Spring Festival presented by Classical Music For the World (CMFW) with events April 18-May 4 featuring performances by Italian artists Francesco Mastromatteo, cello, Noemi Passiatore, classical guitar, University of Austin professor, Sandy Yamamoto, violin, as well as musicians from Austin Symphony Orchestra and the Butler School of Music at UT Austin. All events are free and open to the public with receptions following each event. All ages are welcome. www.classicalmusicfortheworld.org
