Music & More: Barrelhouse Piano and Vocals

Saturday afternoon, July 27, beginning at 3 PM, we’ll be treated to an exciting program of barrelhouse piano and vocals by two St Louis-based musicians, pianist Ethan Leinwand and vocalist Val Jo Kirchkoff aka Miss Jubilee. Val and Ethan played to large local crowds last summer and are returning for several performances during their week-long stay. We are fortunate that they can include Music & More in their busy week. A writer for a jazz publication wrote "Ethan and Valerie have a certain brash tenderness that is very much appealing... and even when they perform songs that are by today’s standards “ancient,” they seem full of emotion and fun."
