Musical Magic Live: Music and Song of Jewish Artists Through Time
Festival Details - "Musical Magic Live: Music and Song of Jewish Artists Through Time"...
Start: Sunday, April 6, 2025 7:00PM
End: Sunday, April 6, 2025 9:00PM
You are invited to an unforgettable fundraising event that will transport you through the captivating sounds of Jewish music, performed by three extraordinary musicians: Cameron Cornell, Angie Rouley, and Tamra Gingold, and joined by Elizabeth Hess, Editor-in-Chief of Chambana Today, as Master of Ceremonies.
This immersive experience combines the power of music with the historical significance of the traveling Holocaust exhibit SHOAH: How Was It Humanly Possible. This powerful exhibit, created by Yad Vashem, offers a profound look at the major historical aspects of the Holocaust, or Shoah, highlighting the systematic genocide carried out by Nazi Germany and its collaborators from 1933 to 1945. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of this dark chapter in history, experiencing first-person accounts of persecution, survival, and extraordinary resilience of the victims.
In addition to the historical content, the exhibit will feature personal stories from Holocaust survivors who call the Champaign-Urbana community home, adding a local and deeply personal perspective to the experience.
This event will not only celebrate the beauty and strength of Jewish music, but also raise critical funds for the Lilly and David Gingold Holocaust and Tolerance Education Outreach Fund, which supports programs that educate students in rural and underserved communities.
