National MagLab Open House

Toys and tech collide as the National MagLab celebrates its 2024 Open House. The event will include unique attractions to fit this year’s theme centered around classic toys, along with the return of many fan favorite science demonstrations, including the incredible Quarter Shrinker, the powerful Junkyard Magnet, and delicious Einstein's Ice Cream, made right before your eyes using super-cold liquid nitrogen. The community tradition dating back nearly 30 years gives the public a chance to explore the world’s largest and highest-powered magnet lab, meet the scientists and staff, and experience brain-teasing hands-on demonstrations and activities.
