New Forest Pride returns for 2026 with the support of Culture in Common and brilliant local partners, taking over Forest Arts Centre in New Milton on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 July for a joyful two-day celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture, creativity and community. Across the weekend, audiences can enjoy an exciting programme of comedy, live music, spoken word, theatre, drag, cabaret and art, alongside workshops, participatory sessions and stalls from amazing local organisations and independent sellers. This year’s programme has been proudly community-curated with the support of local LGBTQIA+ residents, including young people from Breakout Youth groups in New Milton and Marchwood, as well as spudWORKS in Sway. Opening the festival on Friday night is internationally acclaimed comedian Sam Nicoresti, bringing her award-winning show Baby Doomer to the New Forest. Winner of Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025, Baby Doomer is a sharp, joyful and deeply personal hour of stand-up exploring love, identity, instability and queer joy. Following sold-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre, this marks the show’s first visit to the New Forest. Saturday’s programme welcomes a host of exciting LGBTQIA+ performers and artists including Queer Joy Movement, pirate troubadour Theo Dussek, BOY Theatre ahead of their Edinburgh Fringe run, and the iconic Mother Nature as mistress of ceremonies. This year’s theme is “Joy In Resistance” - celebrating visibility, creativity and connection in the heart of the New Forest.
