Oakland Public Education Fund is bringing The Town together for the Oakland Grown: Student Arts & Music Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, 12 to 4 p.m. at the Oakland Museum of California. This family-friendly event will feature live music, dance performances, and visual art by Oakland public school students. The festival will also feature a concert by Oakland Rising, a collective of top emerging musicians from Oakland fresh from their Kennedy Center debut. Tickets include all-day museum admission. The festival raises essential funds for arts and educational programs in Oakland public schools. Last year’s event sold out.
