Operating Engineers Top Hand Competition

Bring your friends and family to visit the IUOE Local 302/612 Operating Engineers Training Center. During the TOP HAND COMPETITION, professional Union operators will compete against one another on various types of heavy equipment and cranes. Adults and Kids of all ages are welcome to come watch the fun and try out Excavators, Cranes, and Simulators for themselves. There is a huge kid area with jumpy houses, sandboxes, toys, games, crafts, hay hunt, pinatas, and much more! Various food and drink vendors will be on site where you can purchase lunch and snacks throughout the day. The competitions go all day long, so come prepared to spend some time hanging out and enjoying the festivities! The Top Hand winners are announced at the end of the day and the new 2026 Entry Level Apprentices will also be introduced. Hope to see you there!
