O'Side Turkey Trot

The O'side Turkey Trot is excited to be returning for another year of fun! This year's race will consist of a 5-mile or 5K run that takes you along a scenic beachside course. The route will start on Coast Highway and ends behind the amphitheater on the strand in Oceanside and features fast and flat stretches, water views and ocean breezes.

On top of a beautiful running course, this event also offers a costume contest, the largest teams competition, fabulous live entertainment on the course, finisher medals for all participants, free digital photos, shirts, and live results to all registered participants.

The O'side Turkey Trot also features a Health and Fitness Expo filled with great exhibitors and photo ops at the Junior Seau Beach Amphitheater. The Expo will be open on Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Benefiting the Community
The O'side Turkey Trot continues to give back to the Oceanside community even after race day, as the race itself raises money for non-profits that serve O'side residents, and has already raised over $470,000.

The race also benefits The Carlsbad-based Move Your Feet Before You Eat®! Foundation. The foundation was created to promote health and well being through incorporating regular physical fitness into daily life. The foundation provides free Move Your Feet Before You Eat! Refrigerator magnets, Mileage Club materials, incentive certificates for program leaders and participants, and motivational videos and speakers to schools throughout North County.

6:45am: 5 Miler start time
8:05am: 5K start time

Course Restrictions
You may run or walk with a stroller in the 5 Mile Run only if you are able to hold a 12 minute pace, as we need to open the roads to the businesses and residents. You may only walk with a stroller in the 5K, no running strollers are allowed - strollers in the 5K must line up in the final 2 waves. Dogs are not allowed to participate in the race - we ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home during the Trot!

Awards
Awards will be presented for the Top 3 overall male and female finishers in both the 5k and 5 mile race. There will also be awards presented for the costume contest and largest team competition
