The Outer Banks Seafood Festival provides the opportunity to learn more about our local fishing industry and heritage. Come and watch live demonstrations, meet the fisher folk and see the boats involved in bringing fresh seafood to your table. Celebrate our rich, seafood heritage and discover what it has done for our local community. The mission of the Outer Banks Seafood Festival is to provide a fun and educational experience promoting, honoring and celebrating our coastal seafood heritage and community. These purposes are exclusively nonprofit, charitable, and educational. The Outer Banks Seafood Festival Fund provides support for the fishing industry on the Outer Banks. This includes commercial fishermen, fish houses, charter/head boats, and other entities that support this industry. Since 2012, the Seafood Festival has generated nearly $80,000 in grants and financial support for local maritime industry members in need.
