Celebrate the vibrant arts traditions of the countries of Central Africa with BCGC as we explore visual and performing arts. Thisy year our area of focus includes Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, DRC, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania. Watch live glass blowing demonstrations inspired by the Kitengela Hot Glass of Kenya Learn how the beadmakers of Ghana make their colorful beads from recycled glass Learn about Tanzanian Kanga cloth and design your own pattern with the IU African Studies Program Print your own Adinkra cloth Test your knowledge of the countries of Africa with our interactive maps and games Challenge a friend to a game of mancala and go home with your own set of playing pieces.
