Positively Different Short Film Festival is a vibrant, expanding space of cinematographic exploration, exchange and learning from the stories of others. As PDSFF enters its 7th year, we remain dedicated to nurturing a space where the personal is political and vice versa. ?ogether we dream of a world that is worth fighting for. We shed light on our multiple realities, be they more visible or in the shadows, and we thrive on connection. More than anything, across our social positions and diverse identities, we are connected by a feeling of urgency, this mixture of anger, fear and hope that is both unique to every individual but also common to a lot of us. We desire to act, to stand up against all that is wrong in the world, to stop this looming threat of spreading fascism, ecological collapse and growing authoritarianism. The time is now; the question is how. In PDSFF26 | THE URGE, we come together to find the answers and work together with everyone who shares our concerns, making space for all different strategies and kinds of action.
