Photographer Julia Cumes' Portrait Show Reception 6PM and Talk/Slideshow 7PM on varied projects

Julia Cumes, Photographer, Presents "Transformation: A Collaborative Portrait Series Exploring Gender Identity on Cape Cod" Wednesday, September 25. People can enjoy a the official Gallery Opening Reception at 6 PM. At 7 PM Ms Cumes will present a Talk/Slideshow showing her varied and work done in locations around the world. The reception will be in the atrium, and the slide show will be held in the sanctuary at UU Falmouth, 840 Sandwich Rd., East Falmouth. 

Ms. Cumes is Cape Cod Arts Foundation's "Artist of the Year," and her work has been called "inspiring" at its official gallery opening reception. 
This powerful collection of portraits and captions delves into the unique journeys of its subjects, challenging viewers to confront the expressive power and diversity of human gender identity. 
In the talk and slideshow presentation at 7 PM, Ms. Cumes will go beyond the current exhibit, showing and discussing some of her favorite projects from around the world that focus on women's struggles, stories from the frontlines of climate change, wildlife conservation, and more. 
This is a unique opportunity to engage with her work and explore the compelling stories behind the images. Julia's work will be on display in the Meeting House atrium during September and October.
