Prime Martial Arts Grand Opening/Free Classes

Mixed Martial Artist and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Martin Day has opened a new studio in Kailua, Prime Martial Arts, specializing in Tae Kwon Do and kickboxing for all ages. He brings his years of fighting and teaching experience to create a different kind of martial arts studio. Prime M.A. will celebrate its grand opening on September 15, 4-7 pm, with free classes for non-members, live music, food, prize giveaways and specials on memberships. The event is free and open to the public. The studio is located in downtown Kailua in the former Kimo's Surf Hut location, and students of all ages and levels are welcome.

"We believe in building confidence in our students, not only in terms of self-defense and martial arts, but also teaching them what a high-standard of living truly means," said Day. "We believe in fostering peak performance on and off the mat with values that will help our students in every aspect of their lives." 

Prime Martial Arts is an offshoot of Martial Arts Company (MAC), where Day studied since he was 13 under Grand Master Bishaw, who is now retired. Day competed in the UFC Bantamweight division and still competes as a Mixed Martial Artist. He has earned a fifth-degree Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
