The first of its kind in the southeast, ticket sales are now a month out for the second Queen City Cannabis Cup taking place on May 21 at Armored Cow Brewing, 8821 JW Clay Blvd #1, Charlotte, NC 28262, a short walk from the LYNX Blue Line JW Clay light rail station. After a sold-out inaugural event before the pandemic, the Queen City Cannabis Cup is back and better than ever, hosting over 30 local hemp growers and manufacturers. Tickets can be purchased for $25 at queencitycannabiscup.net. “This is about showcasing the hard work of local hemp producers and allowing customers, cynics and the curious to learn about the benefit to overall health and wellbeing hemp cannabis can bring. Hemp cannabis sales across the country are skyrocketing. The variety of hemp cannabis products available has expanded exponentially over the past several years, even with North Carolina’s laws restricting the sale of hemp cannabis products with a THC content over 0.3%. The Queen City Cannabis Cup offers customers an opportunity to understand and ask questions about the growing market and enlighten some age-old assumptions about the plant. Customers strolling vendor booths will be able to enjoy live music, including the returning fan-favorite Josh Daniel as well as local DJ, That Guy Smitty.
