Join us for an incredible evening of reggae music at Rio Nido Roadhouse on Saturday June 14th! The 3rd annual Reggae Under The Redwoods will feature a premier lineup of Northern California Reggae: Dubcraft, Ras Matthew & Roots Fusion. DJing the evening will be Mendocino County native DJ Seshwann. The event will run from 6pm - 10pm. All ages are welcome. About the artists: DUBCRAFT Based out of Northern California, Dubcraft does reggae their own way – delivering a unique blend of both vintage and modern sounds that are specifically crafted to catch the listener’s ear. Influenced heavily by Jamaican and European-based “Rub-a-dub” music, getting the crowd engaged, dancing, and singing along is their primary goal. Incorporating hypnotizing dub sections, catchy melodies, and crowd participation, Dubcraft puts on explosive live performances that always leave the crowd wanting more. They have earned the opportunity to share multiple stages with 2 Grammy award-winning Jamaican reggae artists: Kabaka Pyramid and Mykal Rose (of Black Uhuru). They have also played along side California reggae powerhouses such as Kyle Smith, Native Elements, and Sol Horizon. Currently performing as a 6-piece band, they are guaranteed to deliver a high-energy, heavy hitting performance every time they hit the stage. RAS MATTHEW: Ras Matthew Is a reggae/dancehall artist who has been a long-time professional skateboarder as well. His sponsors include and have included Think Skateboards, Spernaut and Creation Skateboards, I-Path shoes , Adidas, Satori Wheels, and Independent trucks. He has been featured on various Riddims And collaborated with countless Artists and producers Including. Rick Haze, Gary Dread, Ranking Joe, Ras Attitude, Makkoka Productions, Itation Productions, DubsQuad Productions, Biblical, Skillinjah and many more. He has had album releases over the past 15 years and has an international following. Ras Matthew’s song “Ganja in My Brain” has gained a life of its own and has become quite a hit. Boasting a combined total of over 20 million YouTube plays and hundreds of remixes. Ras Matthew is also part of the Capital City Rockers Soundsystem out of Sacramento California. ROOTS FUSION: Roots Fusion is a reggae band based in the Northern Bay Area, always bringing high positive energy to their performances.
