The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest presents music of Wagner and Rachmaninoff on Sunday, June 8, at 4 pm at Concordia University's Chapel in River Forest. Music Director Jay Friedman will conduct Wagner's Rienzi Overture and the "Prelude" and "Liebestod" from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde. The program concludes with pianist Thomas Pandolfi in Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 3. A preconcert conversation begins at 3 pm, and a free reception sponsored by Thrivent follows the concert. Tickets are $30 ($35 on concert day), and students through college are admitted free of charge.
Free parking is available in the structure at 1124 Bonnie Brae, and the Chapel is just west of the garage.
