Feel the power of the only steam powered pile-driver in the US, watch construction equipment digging and moving earth The sawmill, with its 52 inch saw blade, make short work of turning logs into lumber. See fire meeting steel as smiths craft metal into art at the blacksmith shop. Our gas engines display has many different devices running and working, this year’s feature is Monitor. It also has a large collection of Fairbank-Morse engines, including two from the WWII era USS Enterprise. See farming done the old way, with threshing, baling, silo filling and plowing. You can take home supper from our potato patch, and make cornbread from fresh ground corn meal at the grist mill. There is buck wheat too. Kids of all ages can drive a real tractor. There are pedal pulls and a corn box for the kids, plus rope making. There are pony rides, plus a camel too. We also have a petting zoo to enjoy and other fun . The Thresheree display home has been decorated to resemble a typical 1930s-era farm house. A Parade of Power is planned for 2 p.m. every day, during which the antique farm and construction equipment can be seen navigating through the park to a natural amphitheater.
