SOMERSET residents are invited to attend an award-winning farm shop’s festive Christmas evening carveries complete with festive choirs to help raise funds for its two charities of the year (December 2022).
The Candlelight Christmas meals will take place on December 8 and 15 from 6.30pm with collections and a raffle each night for Taunton-based Love Musgrove and Reminiscence Learning in Wellington.
Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of the Farm Shop, which is located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, says: “It’s wonderful to see the return of our traditional Candlelight Christmas Carveries again this year. It’s a great opportunity for people to get together with friends and family to enjoy a festive meal ahead of the big day.
“The December 8 event will include fundraising for Love Musgrove and the December 15 evening for Reminiscence Learning. We’ll have choirs performing at both events including the choir Singsation.
“We will have collection tins and buckets on site, as well as hosting a festive raffle each evening.
“In previous years these events have been a great success and we’ve always had lots of fun with everyone who has joined us for the two evenings. We’re looking forward to seeing even more faces at this year’s events and welcoming them to celebrate the festive season with our team.”
Rumwell Farm Shop will host its Candlelight Christmas Carveries in its award-winning Café and is offering guests a choice of three starters followed by a main course, with a choice of either traditional roast turkey or Rumwell beef or pork with all the trimmings. There will also be a trio of desserts to choose from including homemade Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. A vegetarian option is also available.
