San Jose Metropolitan Band Presents Press Play, A Video Game Concert

Come celebrate a generation-connecting pastime with the San Jose Metropolitan Band! Our video game-themed concert Press Play will include music from The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Cuphead, Civilization and more. As members of the Aurora Tapestry "Let's Play" Consortium, we will be presenting local premieres of original works by Kevin Day and Katahj Copley that were inspired by video games. The concert is on Sunday October 1st at 3:00pm at the Hammer Theatre, which is located at Paseo de San Antonio and Third Street in downtown San Jose. You won't want to miss this incredible concert!

Following our successful post-concert event at our last concert, we will be featuring a wine tasting in partnership with San Jose-based J. Lohr Vineyards (www.jlohr.com) at the conclusion of the concert. Tickets for the wine tasting can be purchased on-site.

Come early and explore downtown San Jose, which is home to the San Jose Museum of Art, the dynamic South of First Area (SOFA), and San Pedro Square. After the concert, plan to finish the day with dinner at one of the many excellent downtown restaurants.

Advanced ticket reservations are strongly recommended to expedite entry into the concert. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $5 for children.
