Using undeniably catchy songs, as well as puppets, poetry and story telling, Mr. Doug promotes themes that encourage positive child development. His messages of love, self-worth, and kindness towards others resonate deeply with both children and parents alike - as does his sprightly sense of humour. Since 2018 Mr. Doug has released 10 self-produced records of (mostly) original material. In June 2020 he released his first children’s book “A is for Anti-Racist”. All of the proceeds continue to be donated to charities whose focus is racial equality and reconciliation. His second book “A Home For A Poem” was released in December 2022 to rave reviews. The songs on his newest record “Hey! Ho! Let’s Grow!” were inspired by fatherhood and the experience of raising his own young children. In addition to all that…he also wears pretty cool pants.
