Scottsdale Fashion Square Celebrates Year of the Snake with Vibrant Lunar New Year Event

A roaring good time and heaps of good will await shoppers at Scottsdale Fashion Square when partners from Phoenix Chinese Week gather to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This being the Year of the Snake, the celebration’s culminating event will showcase Lion and Dragon dances, live Chinese music and more at the Palm Court area of Scottsdale Fashion Square, captivating onlookers with the vibrant colors and mesmerizing rhythms.

On Saturday, January 25, Scottsdale Fashion Square will host a series of traditional cultural performances to commemorate the start of the new year according to the phases of the moon. Festivities will start at noon in the Palm Court, providing time to grab an early lunch at one of the shopping center’s many restaurants before settling in to enjoy a series of performances that usher in the new year and bring good luck.

Vibrant costumes and live music will lend authenticity and energy to the series of traditional Chinese dances before culminating in a Lion and Dragon dance, engaging one and all in the celebration.
