Secret Ingredient Competition Kitchen- A Fundraiser for Food Access

The Secret Ingredient Competition Kitchen is a “TV Cooking Competition” themed, hybrid virtual and live fundraising event. Participants compete in fundraising challenges leading up to Competition Day. *This fundraiser involves live streaming and social media use* At the Competition Kick Off, participants receive a basket of ingredients that have been kept secret. These ingredients must all be present and key components of the participants’ 3 course meals. After receiving the secret ingredients, participants then must figure out what to make, source any additional ingredients, and get to cooking! At 6:30, Chefs must bring their completed meals to the judging ceremony at Key West in Carbondale, IL for judging. Courses will be judged individually as well as the meal as a whole to declare the ultimate winner of the Competition Kitchen. The Judging Ceremony is open attendance and we encourage everyone to come out and support the Chefs! A live stream of the event will also take place on Facebook Live and Instagram live for our home audience! Karaoke Battle to commence after the winner’s ceremony!
