One thing we do know is that a total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8, 2024.Come experience it with like-minded friends, family, and chosen family at Shine On Music Fest! Join us for a family-friendly festival full of amazing local and regional live music on the Pavilion Stage. The weekend will be filled with community campfire jams, camping, food, and vendors. Plus, rain or shine, there will be a Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Party. Kids 10 and under get in free! NASA’s 2024 Total Solar Eclipse Broadcast will be projected on a screen in the covered pavilion for Shine On Music Fest attendees to watch. After all, the moon will still pass between the sun and Earth even if we cannot see it clearly. And, the eclipse will be happening across the globe at different times throughout the day. We are excited to follow along with NASA’s live broadcast as they travel across the path of totality during the 2024 total solar eclipse! Shine On Music Festival will experience totality around 3 p.m. Experience this cosmic coincidence at Shine On Music Fest! There will not be another total solar eclipse visible in Indiana for over 20 years. Keep in mind that there is plenty to observe, even if it is cloudy, as our surroundings darken during the total solar eclipse. Nature behaves differently and temperatures drop when the sun is covered. Everyone who attends the Shine On Music Festival on Monday 04/08 gets a pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses. If we are fortunate enough to have clear skies, we will be able to remove our glasses for a breathtaking view of the sun’s spectacular corona. Whether clear or cloudy, Shine On Music Fest will experience totality for nearly 4 minutes! Whatever the weather does, let’s experience the eclipse together and “Shine On” when it is over. Shine On Music Fest is at Stable Studios in Spencer, IN. This is the perfect location to enjoy the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse because it is right in the path of totality!
