The inaugural SoundGardens Festival, presented by Of Sound Minds, is a new gathering on Salt Spring Island dedicated to deep listening, experimental music, and a shared sonic experience. Step into a unique venue transformed by the West Coast Radians—handcrafted wooden resonators that amplify sound in ways that are not only heard but felt! Featuring artists from Salt Spring Island, Victoria, Vancouver, and beyond, the festival includes: ? An immersive sound installation by Peter Hatch ? String quartet concert featuring Meredith Bates, Arie Verheul van de Ven, Marina Hasselberg, and Sam Howard ? A Deep Listening workshop with Tina Pearson ? An octophonic electroacoustic concert of works by Barry Truax, Hildegard Westerkamp, Sarah Belle Reid, David Eagle, Matt Robertson, and John Cage. ? Secret Sky, a trance-inspired guitar duo by Sean Kiley Bring a cushion, settle in, or move through the space—this is a relaxed, inclusive environment where listening expands to include the full soundscape around us. ??
