Spanish Dances

The Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville will present Spanish Dances, a vibrant and expressive concert featuring works inspired by Spanish and Latin American musical traditions. This free program highlights fiery rhythms, lush melodies, and captivating dance forms from across the Spanish-speaking world. The program includes Oblivion and Primavera Porteña by Argentine tango master Astor Piazzolla, Danzón No. 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez, Manuel de Falla’s spirited Dances from The Three-Cornered Hat Suite No. 2, and the hypnotic crescendo of Maurice Ravel’s beloved Boléro.
