Celebrating Ridgeways Scotch-Irish History from the earliest settlers coming in 1799 to lower Fairfield District. St. Paddy's Day on the Ridge is a family event with O'Hara's House Band playing 6pm - 9pm, on the patio at Olde Town Hall Restaurant patio. A scavenger hunt throw town, green beer, music and patting our Ridgeway Luck Stone (Blarney in Ireland).

Bring people together, so, put your GREEN on and let's celebrate with family and friends. Get into the spirit of the day by dressing in green, eating corned beef and cabbage (a tradition from Irish immigrants in America), drinking Irish beer and leprechauns. The festive atmosphere has influenced party goers to refer to the day informally by nicknames of Patrick, but one name tends to raise the hackles of many celebrants, be they Irish by heritage or just for the day.

Saint Patrick's Day, or the feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c.385-c.461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

Legend has it, that you wear green to avoid being pinched by leprechauns. However, not everyone wears green. Some people wear orange to celebrate St. Patrick and their Protestant heritage. It originated as Irish folklore, where it was said that "fairies put a pot of gold coins at the end of each rainbow with leprechauns guarding it. "Irish folklore further states that there is one gold coin in the leprechaun's pot for each year he has lives. Come to Ridgeway, SC on Friday, March 15th, 2024, for a night of family and fun!
