Star of the Day hosts auditions for Seussical The Musical

Star of the Day is excited to announce auditions for our upcoming Spring Musical - Seussical The Musical directed by Parker Ryan.

Star of the Day is a volunteer community theatre. All actors participate on a voluntary basis.

Adult auditions (Ages 18+) Thursday, February 13, 2025, 6:30 - 9:30PM
Adult performers should prepare 16-32 bars of a comedic musical theatre song.
Please bring the sheet music PRINTED in correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Songs should be memorized. No a capella singing. Please no Sondheim. Need help finding sheet music? Some online sources are www.MusicNotes.com, www.sheetmusicplus.com Please bring comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes to dance in. All auditionees will be required to do a short movement audition. DANCE AUDITION VIDEO WILL BE POSTED SOON TO PRACTICE.

Children's Auditions (Ages 8-17) - Saturday, February 15, 2025, 2 -4PM Please choose one of the songs provided below to learn for the audition. Music must be memorized. A piano player will be provided. Please bring comfortable clothes and dance shoes for the movement audition. DANCE AUDITION VIDEO WILL BE POSTED SOON TO PRACTICE. (There is a $100 fee for children 8-17)

Seussical The Musical will be performed in the round with a live band.
 
Please download, print, complete, and return audition form (located on our website) when you arrive at the audition. Please be sure to circle all possible conflicts. We cannot accept added conflicts once the show is cast. Accurate and honest conflicts will help us finalize the rehearsal schedule. Please note, we make every attempt to call only those needed at rehearsal as to not waste anyone's time.
