STAR presents Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®

Since 2001, individuals and their families around the world have joined award-winning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence. It is a fun opportunity to raise awareness in our community about the serious causes, effects, and remediations to sexualized violence. Our event is open to everyone who would like to participate.

You can register as an individual or create your own team with friends, family, team mates, or coworkers.

This year, we're bringing the event back indoors to the Dimond Center where we can gather to walk a mile and enjoy all of the amenities the Mall has to offer.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to support STAR services. Since 1978, STAR has been responding to the needs of survivors of sexual assault, while integrating prevention and education programs with a goal of reducing harm to all Alaskans.
