State of Black Food: Black Wall Street Edition

Festival Details - "State of Black Food: Black Wall Street Edition"...

Start: Thursday, August 28, 2025 6:00PM
End: Sunday, August 31, 2025 6:00PM

Presented by Chef Kulture and PBCi, this event celebrates the talent, impact, and resilience of Black and Brown culinary professionals across the nation. This is not a food festival; it's a unique 4-day gathering where culinary professionals and supporting industries come together for education, self-care, resources, and fellowship. With the theme "Our Table. Our Story. Our Future," the conference empowers participants to reclaim and craft their own narratives while highlighting the essential role culinary professionals play in shaping culture, community, and commerce. Attendees will enjoy a dynamic mix of experiences including: A cocktail welcome reception to connect and kick off the event. Professional development workshops focused on industry skills, business growth, and personal well-being. Inspiring fireside chats and discussion panels exploring key issues, challenges, and opportunities in the culinary world. Offsite historical tours of Black Wall Street, offering a deep dive into the legacy of one of the most successful Black business communities in U.S. history. A formal Gala honoring culinary leaders and contributors, plus a chance to celebrate together. A community day of fellowship and service, giving back to the local area and reinforcing the importance of unity and collective strength. Through this conference, we aim to elevate the external perspective on Black and Brown culinary professionals while establishing Tulsa as the Black Food Capital of the U.S. This is a movement to shape the future—our future. Description: The State of black Food conference empowers participants to reclaim and craft their own narratives while highlighting the essential role culinary professionals play in shaping culture, community, and commerce.
