Steam Up at Sturgeon's Mill - May 17 and 18

Sturgeon's Mill, a 110 year old Historic Steam Sawmill will open it's gates for the 1st of our annual Public Demonstration Weekends on May 17 and 18. Watch the historic working museum come to life as redwood logs are milled into lumber and slabs. Docent tours will lead visitors through California Sawmill History as you venture the grounds of the sawmill and woodland gardens. During designated times throughout the day, the sawmill will take breaks to allow visitors to enter the sawmill decks, see up close and ask questions. Open 10:00 - 3:00 each day with lunch available to purchase or bring your own and enjoy our beautiful picnic grounds and listen to a local Ukulele band.
