Stews & Brews Returns Downtown Highland Park

Cooler weather means comfort foods and hot beverages and the City of Highland Park has the perfect event to warm your body and soul! The fourth annual Stews & Brews returns to Downtown Highland Park on Saturday, October 11, 5 – 9 PM at Port Clinton Square and along Central Avenue.. Enjoy a cozy fall night with savory stews and delicious brews, while grooving along to live entertainment including dueling pianos and yacht rock! Stews & Brews is not your ordinary chili cook off or craft beer fest. This free, all-ages event offers attendees an array of cold weather comfort foods like chili, pozole, lamb stew, beef stroganoff, Hungarian goulash, potpies, and a variety of soups. Attendees can pair their dish of choice with dozens of unique brews including creative coffees and cocoas, craft beers, spiced wine, hot toddies, mulled ciders and more! Attendees will enjoy their stews and brews while enjoying live entertainment and cozying up around warm fire pits and heaters. Stews & Brews’ on-site restaurants include: BWB Shakes, Cafe Dacha, Central Café, DeNucci’s, Judy’s Pizza, Lynfred Winery, Michael’s Grill & Salad Bar, Ordo, Steep Ravine Brewing Company, Tamales, and Yana’s Speakeasy. Attendees will be invited to cast a vote for their favorite stew and brew as part of the People’s Choice Competition. Voting QR codes will be posted throughout festival grounds and at all competitor booths. Voting closes at 8 PM, and winners will be announced at 8:30 PM.
