Surfbat “Desolation” album release with Onion Milk

Northwest Montana Post-Rock band Surfbat announces new album “Desolation”, following 2025’s release of “Adrift” Whitefish, MT — Following the critical underground success of their 2025 debut “Adrift”, Montana-based post-rock trio Surfbat has officially announced the release of their sophomore studio album, “Desolation.” Both albums were recorded on the same day at Beargrass Studios in Columbia Falls in June of 2024 and mixed and mastered by TJ Lipple in Washington D.C. Formed in the rugged landscape of Western Montana in 2022, Surfbat has quickly carved out a niche in the instrumental scene with expansive cinematic textures and heavy grooves. The band will be doing an album release at the Palace bar in Whitefish on June 12, with Kalispell friends Onion Milk supporting.
