More than 100 artists, exhibitors, musicians, food vendors and demonstrators will sprawl across 13 acres on the Guadalupe River when the Texas State Arts and Crafts Fair returns to Kerr County on the grounds of the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Sept. 23-24.
Marking its 51st year, this fall's event promises a return of favorite features and a few changes. Admission is $10 and will be good for both days of the fair. All students under 18 will be admitted free of charge.
Among the new additions to the 2023 fair will be the Big Seed Project, who have invited Amber Stone to perform on the HCTC stage, and a public mural painting for all our visitors to participate in.
Visitors will be treated to a wide range of arts and crafts exclusively by Texas residents, as well as favorite fair food offerings, entertainment and related educational and recreational activities.
The invitation-only "Heritage Artists" exhibit will be indoors at the foundation's Duncan-McAshan Gallery. Invited exhibitors include regional artists who have a historical connection to the arts and crafts fair and to the Hill Country Arts Foundation.
Pickin' and grinnin' on the Stonehenge Stage will feature Clifton Fifer's Sunday morning gospel set, and other Texas musicians including, Chris Huber, The Flashbacks, Mark Squared and Amber Stone, of the Big Seed Project.
Joining the food lineup this year will be Conchita's Mexican Fusion Cuisine, along with perennial favorites MacNWagN, Texas Street Crepes, Whiskey and Brisket, Transylvania Treats Chimney Cakes, Aguas Frescas, and Nobilitea among other crowd pleasers.
