The 29th Annual Gourmet Ramp Feast

If you have ever been curious about ramps, but were afraid to try, Friday, April 12th is the date for you. Chef Dale Hawkins of Fish Hawk Acres will be working his magic in the 29th Annual Gourmet Ramp Feast benefit dinner for the Upshur County Public Library. This is a unique one-of-a-kind dinner. While enjoying the ambiance of dining in the library, diners can listen to the beautiful music performed by the well-known duo Key to Adam. The menu includes deviled eggs with pickled ramps, potato and ramp chowder, ramp and vegetable strata, spinach salad with bacon ramp vinaigrette dressing, Fish Hawk Acres signature baked ham, asparagus, baby carrots, and sugar snap peas with and without ramps, roasted spring potatoes, focaccia with ramps, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. At least six menu items will be available without ramps for those who would like to enjoy a ramp-free meal. As the event has grown over the years, we are adding a second serving line to decrease wait time. If you have any questions, please call the library at 304-473-4219 ex. 2 or 3.
