The Great California Joke-Off is a stand-up comedy event that makes the art of telling jokes no laughing matter.
Amateur and aspiring comics will compete in various comedic challenges to win fame (bragging rights) and fortune (don't quit your day job). The winner will also receive a spot on a feature showcase at the California Theatre at a future date. We welcome audience participation in the form of laughing along, as well as voting for the comic that stood out at stand-up.

Eight competitors will deliver 5-minute sets, with 2-3 judges providing feedback in this 1-hour performance, for the four Thursdays in February. Judges will choose one contestant who, along with the audience favorite, will return for the showcase and final competition on March 6.
