THE TAILOR'S SPEAKEASY Martini Club The Launch of Sea Centaur Martini Gin Saturday 25 July 2026 7pm – 9pm Gurds Menswear, Taunton You are cordially invited to an evening of martinis, menswear and maritime myth. Tickets £35 For one night only, Gurds Menswear will transform into The Tailor's Speakeasy, an intimate gathering celebrating the launch of Sea Centaur Martini Gin, the newest creation from Somerset distiller Becky Wright of Dryad Gin. Established in 1924, Gurds has dressed generations of Somerset gentlemen. Surrounded by oak cabinets, classic tailoring, waistcoats and dinner jackets, guests will step into a world inspired by the glamour and sophistication of the 1920s. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a perfectly chilled Sea Centaur Martini, served in an exclusive branded Nick & Nora glass, yours to keep. The evening will feature a special Martini and Negroni demonstration from Anthony Brimacombe, Co-Founder of Martini Club UK, Founder of Brim's Gin, and Community Judge for both The Gin Guide Awards and The Gin Cooperative Awards. Anthony's passion for the martini began after a visit to the legendary Duke's Bar, where a chance encounter with world-renowned bartender Alessandro Palazzi ignited a lifelong fascination with cocktails and spirits. During the evening he will reveal the secrets behind one of the world's most iconic drinks, sharing the history, rituals and techniques of the perfect martini. Guests will hear the story behind the sea centaur gin itself inspired by Somerset's ancient submerged forests, coastal folklore and the legend of the Sea Centaur. You will also meet Sarah Farnfield 4th generation Gurds family who will show you some fabulous outfits for sale and the wonderful history of Gurds Menswear in Taunton. Your Ticket Includes ??
