The international master of the solo acoustic guitar has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes.
At the age of six, Tommy Emmanuel was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock’n’roll lead guitarist burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player by icon Chet Atkins.
All the while, Emmanuel has hungered for what’s next – and what’s next is Accomplice One, an album of collaborations with some of the finest singers, songwriters and guitarists alive today.
Collaborators on the album include Jerry Douglas – who joins Emmanuel for this performance – Jason Isbell, Mark Knopfler, Suzy Bogguss and many more.
Dobro master and 14-time GRAMMY winner Jerry Douglas elevates, transforms and reinvents the resonator guitar in countless ways.
Douglas is a freewheeling, forward-thinking artist whose output incorporates elements of country, bluegrass, rock, jazz, blues and Celtic into his distinctive musical vision.
Called ‘Dobro’s matchless contemporary master’ by the New York Times, Douglas is band leader for The Jerry Douglas Band and bluegrass band The Earls of Leicester, as well as a member of multiple groundbreaking ensembles.
