Treasure Coast Theatre presents the dark comedy "Six Degrees of Separation" by John Guare

A young con man, Paul, scams his way into the lives of wealthy New York couple Ouisa and Flan Kittridge by claiming to know their children from Harvard. He shows up bloody, claiming to have been mugged on the way to meeting his father, the actor Sidney Poitier. The couple take him in, only to later be scammed by him. The couple soon learn that Paul is not who he says he is and that he has been scamming other people in their circle, along with other unsuspecting victims. They set out to figure out how he was able to scam so many people. The answer lies with their children. Much of the play's humor is in the interactions between the various sets of parents and their children.

Her experience with Paul shakes Ouisa to her core. Her sense of who she is in relation to everyone else in the world changes, but she doesn't really have the tools to break out of her insular world, and she's surrounded by people who don't see what she sees.
