Two Summer Festivals Planned for the Community Surrounding Austin's Domain Shopping Center

“A Taste of Summer” will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Overture Domain, a 55+ active adult community located at 3100 Kramer Lane, Austin, TX 7875. The event will showcase the work of its resident artists, including Adriana Bustos who took up painting later in life. She specializes in landscapes and abstracts and works mostly with acrylics. Also being featured is the work of Cindy Davie who took up weaving two-and-a-half years ago. She makes scarves, shawls, table runners, placements and pillows. Award winning author Linda Wood is also participating. Her soon-to-be-released novel, “Labyrinth of Lies,” is a romantic suspense novel that takes place in Los Alamos, New Mexico. It is a story about spies who are trying to access America’s military secrets. In addition to the art show, the free event will feature music by jazz musician Tom Jeannett. Plus, there will be light bites: chicken salad sandwiches, ham & cheese and turkey & cheese sliders and a charcuterie board; frozen drinks, cookies and cheesecake bites. Several door prizes will be offered, including gift certificates to shops and restaurants at The Domain shopping center, a gift basket and a free three-night stay at Overture Domain. Also happening this summer at Overture Domain is Sunchella. The festival featuring music, food, drinks, desserts and giveaways. The event will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2005 between 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Tours of the community will be available during both events.
