This new exhibition by Shruti Yatri takes its title from the Hindi word 'Ujala' meaning light.
The exhibition celebrates Diwali, the Indian festival of lights at Te Oro in Glen Innes.
The works were created by Indian born, Auckland artist Yatri.
His layered and textured paintings reveal a fusion of worlds, languages and styles through the entangled concepts of spirituality and whakapapa.
