This vibrant family friendly event will spotlight the rich cultural heritage and community spirit that makes Mexicantown?a beloved destination in the city. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, you won't want to miss this celebration of family, culture, and pride.
Highlights of the Fiesta:
Speeches by Local Leaders & Community Advocates
Live Music performances by Mariachi Performances & Local Musicians
Traditional Horse Show, honoring Mexicantown’s history
Local Food Vendors?featuring the best tastes of Mexicantown
Food Trucks?offering a variety of international flavors, including vegan & halal options
Bounce Houses, Yard Games, and Fun for the Whole Family
As part of this rebranding campaign, Mexicantown Main Street will also unveil nearly 200 bilingual streetlight banners?along W. Vernor Hwy. and Bagley St. These beautiful banners will honor Mexicantown's roots while ushering in a new chapter of growth and pride for the community.
Entertainment Schedule:
• 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. - DJ Set to Kick Off the Fiesta
• 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - Guest Speakers – Celebrating the Power of Community
• 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. - WSU’s Ballet Folklórico – Traditional Dance Performances
• 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Mexican Banda & Central American Salsa/Merengue Bands
• 1:30 p.m.– 2:00 p.m. - DJ + Traditional Horse Show
This 1.7-mile rebranding initiative?unites local businesses, residents, and community partners in creating a visual identity that celebrates the unique character of Mexicantown?and strengthens the neighborhood’s commercial vibrancy.
