The Wine and Chocolate Festival will come to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s Special Events Center on Saturday, February 9. Attendees are invited to sip and shop their way through the festival, sampling a variety of North Carolina wines and distilled products while savoring a selection of tasty nibbles and sweets including chocolates and treats. Attendees can enjoy tastings from local chocolatiers, bakeries and sweet shops as well as savor sauces, jellies, jams, spreads, and gourmet treats from local specialty vendors. Jewelry and art from area artisans will be selling their wares. Glasses of wine and full bottles will be available for purchase from the top North Carolina wineries.
Tickets are on sale now for both sessions (1 p.m. - 4 p.m.) and (5 p.m.- 8 p.m.) and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com and wineandchocolatefestivals.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and in person at the Greensboro Coliseum box office. Tickets are on sale now for $35 ($10 for designated drivers) plus service fees.
One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit Providence Culinary Training, a program of the Second Harvest Food Bank of North West North Carolina. This program provides training, education, and job placement in the food service industry for individuals who are chronically unemployed or underemployed. Successful outcomes are achieved through their social enterprises: restaurant, catering, food manufacturing, and hunger relief meals. By engaging in these meaningful work activities, their students are empowered to succeed.
